Loopy on Lavender

Lavender. The smell of my grandmother’s sheets, motel toilet fresheners, garnishes in gin and those odd handmade lavender bags that Aunt Kathy has somewhere in her bedroom draw. Travelling to its natural habitat in Mayfield, we ventured out to see the organic lavender growers on the Surrey Downs.

A humble £2 entry fee will get you endless frolicking, lavender-inspired treats, and a wicked good Instagram pic. We spent an hour running, boomeranging and discussing irregular periods amongst the buds and the bees. Here’s some snaps of us looking pretty, crouching in awkward positions and getting close and intimate with some aromatic herbs. Photos are filtered, smiles are real.
